A new beginning...

I was not kidding when I said :

"Jr. is probably the most video'd kid in history!" on a previous post.

It has been a tough search for that old CD backup of Jr.'s first few weeks, but I finally found it and without further ado..lets make the little girl happy!!

All this was from day 1 to day 14. Making this video made me cry a few times with joy over the last 24 hours. My wife and mother-in-law have probably concluded that I have gone nuts, but hopefully they will understand my recent erratic behaviour when they see what I was doing in such secrecy!

and a big thanks to the little girl for making it all worthwhile!!

Back to the Hospital...

We were playing in the backyard. Both the kids were fighting over the princess sandals! This pair of sandals is not footwear, but more of a decoration piece! It was part of Jr.'s Halloween princess costume. It is hard plastic that will definitely make her foot sore and is very dangerous because she keeps slipping on them. The little one also insists on tip toeing in those plastic sandals.

I told them both that the sandals were going to be thrown in the garbage.

That is when I heard Jr. say :

"Mommy, I want daddy to go back to the hospital. He is not listening to me!"

I gave the wife a questioning look : When was I at the hospital recently and why am I going back ?

Then I got the answer and just burst out laughing. Earlier in the day my wife had told Jr. that if she didnt treat the little one right, she would be sent back to the hospital! (Jr. thinks baby came from one of two sources.. mommy's tummy or hospital. So every now and then the wife threatens to send the baby back inside her tummy or back to the hospital).

Now Jr. wants to send ME back to the hospital because I am not listening! We reap what we sow, right ?

Toys these days!

Recently Jr. received a "Barbie walking a dog" gift. I did not pay much attention to the whole toy after going through the ordeal of prying open the various pieces from the package and thinking "Kids that play with Barbie should all be geniuses, if just opening the package can be so complicated!"

The only other thing I noticed was that the dog was lifelike and somehow they had managed to make the surface of the moulded plastic have a skin like feel to it. It was amazing from a materials science standpoint!

So imagine my shock when we read the "manual" which came with Barbie and found that the pellets that were part of the package were supposed to be the dog food and dog poop!!

Confused ? See the video! It is self explanatory...

If there are parents out there who need to teach their kids that food becomes poop or poop comes from eating food, you can use my video as an educational aid!

What will they think of next ?
