Wishing you a happy....
Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 4:01PM
Indian Independence day to all Desis (In India, abroad, at heart)
Aavani Avittam for the "poonal" boys,
Varalakshmi pooja to the "saradu" girls,
and wishing all relatives(close and far, who read this blog), on the birth of Bharat, my new nephew!
Recently it has been good news in a row or bad news in a row.
I am sure the astrologers will have a nice explanation for that.
This weekend has been a good festive one!
yours truly,
Princess Daddy and Style Missy.

- s.b.
s.b.,
you are right... how did I miss that!
:)
the little one wants me to wear the tiara to work because I look "cute" with it..
somehow the gorilla in me has to tell her soon that daddy is a boy.. he is different.. he does not do tiaras...
hahah- Awww... that's sooo sweet!
You should show her these pictures of tortured Daddy when she's a teen and going through the rebellion phase!
by the way Appah and mahal should get thristy suthified though :)

One festivity too many !!
Cool snap !!
sivajini, this blog serves a big purpose... it is going to come in very handy in the future to point to the girls what they put their daddy through!
MIL in India.. the sutti pottufying needs an elder adult.. so it has to wait!
Kavi, yep.. too many festivals came within a weekend.. not fair. We need them spread out so there is more chances to eat vadai, payasam, etc. etc.
:)
Touchwood - hope this good news in a row extends to a very very big row!
I must say - I think it takes a very secure man to wear a tiara for the sake of his daughter. Kudos to you! :)
Oh there is an ulterior motive is there?Lol.
Re-thrishty suthifying, it can't be that bad right? I mean you just say- that kan, this kan, ella kannu pohattum- and then spit on the spices/arthi and thenthrow it on the fire/pot or something right?
Or you can get the version that my grandmother does, where they kind of touch their forehead and then theirs and crack their knuckles- you know what I mean? Lol
ss,
when you have those big beady eyes all open and those cute little eyelashes batting away with a "please daddy.. let me put the crown for you!"
one is indeed secure.. secure in the knowledge that someone loves you soooooo much!
:)
sivajini, the suthi podal needs a post on its own..
