Budding researcher

There is a good chance you will see a Journal paper which looks something like this..

Classification of Fecal morphology in real time

Narayanan L. O. et. al.

you should not be surprised!

The little one seems to put Linnaeus to shame! Never mind the fact that dad can remember Carolus Linnaeus from his eighth standard Botony class.

Why?

L.O. : Daddy, I am done! Wipeeeeeeeee...
Me : Goddamn, she always knows how to call me just when I start eating! Commmming
Me : Pee pee or poo poo?
L.O. : Poo Poo.. Snake and goat!
Me : What?
L.O. : I went snake and goat poo poo!

Now, some of you might think this is a gross post.

The little one might not thank me for this if she actually chooses a career in research.

But, you have to agree, she has the ability to classify things in simple terms, at such a young age!

When this was mentioned to San and the MIL, they were dumbstruck. Not by the Little one, but by the fact that daddy is able to beat with chest with pride because his little one classified poo poo!

Well, I am very proud!

Patience Little one

Grandma is back. Tamizh comes back with Grandma because she insists on talking with the kids in Tamizh. They usually reply to her in Tamizh.

The five month grandma absence has turned the Little one to almost 100% English.

A conversation between Grandma and the Little One earlier today:

LO : This is my bow bow doggie. (the toy pooping doggie)
GM : Tamizhla sollu! (say it in Tamizh)Say "idhu ennoda poo poo doggie"
LO : This is my poo poo doggie.
GM : say it "in Tamizh"!
LO : Gives her one frustated look and goes "This is my poo poo doggie in Tamizh!"

We pretty much saw Grandma's middle stick uproot. Clean bold!

The score : Grandma out for a duck and Little one has figures of 0.1-0-0-1

Let us see how Grandma does in her second innings!

Going Places

The little one has been following in her sisters footsteps, not that she has much of a choice in who she is following!

That said, Jr. is following in her mommys footsteps.

It is a common scene in our house where Jr. has the little one's diaper bag and the little one has Jr.'s backpack.

While we were all thinking that the little one is packing up to go to school, she let us in on her secret. Apparently she is going to the "movie theater" with you know who! The "guys" of course!

If this is a sneak peek of things to come, we have been warned!

Party wear

We went to a company party. We were supposed to dress "business casual".. so while dad got the entire family all dressed up based on the "business" word, the rest of the folk at the party were focussed on the "casual"!

Dad did move a few eyes when he walked in wearing his tuxedo. It was quite a feat, trying to fit into an outfit after six years. Came home and had stomach cramps. After all, you cannot hold your tummy in pants a full two inches smaller than your current waist size, that too for two full hours. By the time we put on seat belts in the van on our way back, the pant buttons were off!

We did have a great photo shoot though!

My darlings were thrilled to dress up as usual!!

The tux episode has sparked a renewed interest to actually do some physical exercise, eat more salad and less ghee fried jeera rice, buttered up tortillas, etc. and basically fit into that tux without the extra effort by end of this year!

Hmmm... only time will tell!
